CNA officers raided ANRE

Chisinau, May 24 /MOLDPRES/ - Officers of the National Anti-Corruption Centre (CNA) today carried out a criminal investigation in the office of an employee of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE). The official is suspected of influence peddling.
According to the CNA, the Licensing Section consultant allegedly acted in the interest of an economic agent to speed up the process of registering documents for obtaining a license. He allegedly exerted influence on some members of the ANRE commission, who were to facilitate the process of obtaining a license for the import and sale of fuel in Moldova. As a result, the licence was issued the day after the submission of the package of documents.
The ANRE employee was summoned to the CNA headquarters to be recognized and heard as a suspect of committing the offence of aggravated influence peddling.
