Moldovan PM has meetings with president of European Investment Bank, president of European Committee of the Regions in Berlin La Berlin

Chisinau, 12 June /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean has met the president of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the president of the European Committee of the Regions, in the context of his participation in the Ukraine Recovery Conference.

At the meeting with EIB president Nadia Calviño, the prime minister referred to the projects which back Moldova’s accession to the European Union and including help attenuate the economic and social effects of the Russian aggression against Ukraine.    

Through the investments with EIB’s support, the authorities support the key sectors of the national economy: transport, roads’ infrastructure, energy, entrepreneurship and health.   

During his dialogue with the president of the European Committee of the Regions, Vasco Alves Cordeiro, the Moldovan PM emphasized the need to continue the reforms on the decentralization, improvement of the business climate, including locally.  

Prime Minister Dorin Recean noted that, in the European integration process, this aspect had become even more important, in order to ensure the understanding and promotion of the benefits of the accession to the European Union for the local communities.
