Moldovan PM has meeting with representatives of local public authorities, deconcentrated services from Stefan Voda district

Chisinau, 20 June /MOLDPRES/ - Advantages of the governmental programmes for the modernization, development of tourist routes and the need to consolidate the efforts in the European integration process have been among the subjects discussed by Prime Minister Dorin Recean and representatives of the local authorities and the deconcentrated services from the south-eastern Stefan Voda district, where the PM pays a working visit today.       

The mayors stressed that they backed the policies promoted by the government, noting that, due to the European Village and Express European Village National Programmes, they had managed to create better conditions for the citizens.   

For his part, Prime Minister Dorin Recean said that, at the second edition, the quality of the projects had considerably improved and taking into account that there are many demands, the cabinet is the process of identifying new sources of financing. Also, the PM emphasized the role of consolidating the capacity of writing projects, in the context of the EU pre-accession funds, which Moldova is to access.  

„The government builds roads, aqueduct and sewerage networks, schools, kindergartens, hospitals, cultural institutions. We edify the European Moldova together at home,’’ the PM said.    At the meeting, the participants stressed the need to join the efforts for the country’s strategic goal – integration into the European Union. ‘’On 20 October, we should be united, along with all our communities, we should participate in the referendum,’’ Prime Minister Dorin Recean reiterated.   

It is worth mentioning that the government invested over 52 million lei in the Stefan Voda district for the carrying out of 19 projects, through the European Village Programme. At the same time, 14 projects on the improvement of the living conditions were implemented due to the Express European Village Programme, with their overall value standing at over 5 million lei.
