Chisinau, 21 June /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has expressed gratitude to the team of the presidential administration for the daily efforts, on the eve of the Civil Servant’s Day, marked on 23 June, the presidential press service exported.

The head of state stressed that the role of the civil servants in the country’s modernization was major and that efficiency, as many as possible well-trained specialists, who are fond of the work they do, a proper remuneration of labour and especially people who dedicate themselves to serving the citizens’ interests, were necessary.

„I know what being civil servant means and with every respect for your work, I wish you three important things:

1. Always remember that you work for the people of this country. The daily actions – how we speak, how we answer to people, how we settle their requests – all these things edify the trust of people in the institutions and the state’s image depends on them, inside the country and at the foreign level.

2. I wish you to feel that you are members of a strong team, which has the chance to make Moldova better. The same values of basis should unite you - when you are proud with the team you belong to, you can do miracles.

3. And certainly, I wish you that, one day, not too late, you can tell your children: ‘’We did not stay aside when Moldova’s fate was decided. We fulfilled our duty, when Moldova was defining its role and place in the history. We were the generation of civil servants, due to which Moldova got to be member of the European Union. Congratulations and much prosperity!’’ President Maia Sandu said.
