Azerbaijan's team gets trophy of Chisinau Media Cup 2024 tournament, held in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 20 May /MOLDPRES/ - The team of sports commentators from Azerbaijan has won the principal trophy of the international tournament, Chisinau Media Cup 2024, held on the stadium of the Moldovan Football Federation (FMF), placed in the La Izvor Park from the capital, on 19 May. Eight teams of journalists from seven countries – Germany, Georgia, Romania, Azerbaijan, Israel, Armenia and Moldova, competed at the second edition competition.      

The tournament was held in two groups of four teams each and the best teams played in the great final and, respectively, the small one, for the bronze medals. The teams from Moldova (Sports Press Association of Moldova (APSM) and TVR Moldova) had modest results, ranking fifth and, respectively, sixth. Georgia defeated Israel with the score 2:1 in the match for the third place. At the great final, the team of Azerbaijan defeated the national team of Romania with the score 7:4, in a match full of suspense.
