Lithuanian MPs to visit Chisinau

Chisinau, May 21 /MOLDPRES/ - Members of a delegation of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania will visit the Republic of Moldova on 21 - 24 May.

According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, the delegation includes Deputy Chair of the European Affairs Committee Marius Matijošaitis, member of the Legal Affairs Committee Vilius Semeška and former representative of the Seimas in the European Parliament, the head of the Interpretation and Translation Department of the Seimas Secretariat Loreta Raulinaityte.

Lithuanian officials will meet with Speaker Igor Grosu, head of the Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration Ina Coșeru, head of the Committee on National Security, Defence and Public Order Lilian Carp and head of the Friendship Group with the Republic of Lithuania Ion Babici.

The visit's agenda also includes meetings with representatives of the Government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Chancellery.

The talks will focus on European path of the Republic of Moldova, assistance and support that Lithuania can provide to our country in the European integration.
