Chisinau, 21 May /MOLDPRES/ - The process of Moldova’s accession to the European Union, the aspects dealing with the regional security, as well as the Moldovan authorities’ firm commitment to edify a resilient state have been discussed by Prime Minister Dorin Recean at a meeting with European Council President Charles Michel.

The PM referred to the government’s priorities and the country’s European agenda, noting that the support received by Moldova in Brussels reconfirmed the progress made in more key sectors.

„Moldova’s future is in the great European family. The government edifies the European Moldova and will continue the efforts needed, in order to bring well-being to each home. We are stronger together and we must invest on a long term, in peace, prosperity and security,’’ Prime Minister Dorin Recean said.

For his part, European Council President Charles Michel said the European Union was open to back, in continuation, Moldova and the agenda of reforms for the improvement of the citizens’ living standards.

The officials also discussed the hybrid threats, cyber attacks and the actions of misinformation launched by Russia in Moldova, the country’s aligning with the international restrictive measures, as well as the assistance provided within the European Peace Facility.
