Speaker to visit France

Chisinau, 27 May /MOLDPRES/ - Speaker Igor Grosu will visit the French Republic on 27 - 29 May at the invitation of President of the French National Assembly Yaël Braun-Pivet.

According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, the official will meet his counterparts Yaël Braun-Pivet and French Senate President Gérard Larcher.

Grosu will also hold talks with President of the France-Moldova Friendship Group of the French National Assembly Delphine Lingemann. The issues will concern the European agenda of the Republic of Moldova and the support offered by EU states in its implementation, the strengthening of Moldovan-French parliamentary cooperation and the stimulation of European investments.

Traditionally, the official will also talk to Moldovans living in France. Grosu will visit a business owned by a family of Moldovans living in the French city of Montreuil, the studio of the Moldovan painter Sergiu Ciochina and Galerie Moldave, a commercial boutique dedicated to preserving the history, crafts and culture of Moldova.
