Moldovan state encourages young people to choose farming as career with new promotion campaign

Chisinau, July 3 /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) has launched a campaign aimed at secondary school, high school, college and first cycle bachelor graduates. The first spots of the campaign were presented at the launch event of the new automated sorting and packaging lines, installed at the GAIA Investment regional HUB in Bucovăț, Strășeni district.

Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry said that in this way, the government challenges young people to discover how COOL it is to be a farmer in the 21st century.

According to the official, all measures are being taken to raise interest in studying agriculture.


The campaign will run from July 3 to August 31 and aims to raise interest in agricultural professions and increase the number of applicants to educational offers in the area.

There are currently more than ten agricultural educational institutions in Moldova, including the Technical University of Moldova. Currently, more than eight hundred students and master's degree students are studying at the Faculty of Agricultural, Forestry and Environmental Sciences at UTM, and the new study opportunities will enable them to learn the most relevant technological processes in practice.
