PM in Athens: EU enlargement in Eastern Europe and Western Balkans - investment in peace, security

Chisinau, July 2 /MOLDPRES/- The European Union enlargement in Eastern Europe and the Western Balkans is an investment in peace and security. Prime Minister Dorin Recean made the statement today. He delivered a speech at the annual Economic Forum, organized by the Economist in Athens.

The official said "Moldova is building Europe at home". "We have a clear and defined national development plan, which will turn the Republic of Moldova into a European and prosperous state for every citizen," he said.

Recean added that Chisinau authorities are strengthening democratic institutions, ensuring peace and security and creating development opportunities for citizens and investors.

He also invited all those present at the event to visit our country.

Recean is on a working visit to Athens on July 1-2. Besides attending the annual forum, the official's agenda also includes meetings with President of the Hellenic Republic Ekaterini Sakellaropoulou and his Greek counterpart, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
