EU leaders reaffirm support for Moldova, appreciate reforms under implementation at meeting with Moldovan president

Chisinau, 18 July /MOLDPRES/ - More European leaders have reaffirmed their support for Moldova and appreciated the reforms implemented by the country. President Maia Sandu today had high-level meetings at the Summit of the European Political Community (EPC Summit).
„At the Summit of the European Political Community, more friends of our country brought together, in order to discuss the cooperation for a peaceful and stable Moldova. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who is the host of the event, President of France Emmanuel Macron, German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, President of Romania Klaus Iohannis, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and European Council President Charles Michel, reaffirmed their support for Moldova and appreciated the reforms which we implement,’’ Maia Sandu stressed on a social network.
The Moldovan president assured that the country’s authorities would continue the actions for Moldova’s development. ‘’We committed to continue working together, in order to make Moldova ever stronger, to develop the economy and improve our citizens’ living conditions,’’ the head of state said.
The fourth meeting of the European Political Community (EPC) today is held at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire, the United Kingdom. At the event, the head of state has meetings with more European presidents and prime ministers, with whom she will discuss the peace and security of Moldova, the economic development and the European integration.
The European Political Community represents a key platform of discussions between the European countries about peace and security on the European continent, as well as other common problems. Moldova hosted the second EPC summon on 1 June 2023.
