PHOTO exhibition dedicated to 30th anniversary of Moldovan Constitution's adoption staged at parliament's headquarters

Chisinau, 22 July /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament hosts a topic-related exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Republic of Moldova’s Constitution. The exhibition contains over 150 publications selected from collections of Moldova’s National Library, the Library of the Parliament’s Museum, which turn to account the state’s Fundamental Law.
According to the parliament’s communication and public relations department, among the documents exhibited, there is the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, adopted on 29 July 1994, with the last amendments and completions, collections of rulings by the Constitutional Court, decisions on the Constitution’s interpretation.
A special protocol edition of Moldova’s Constitution, provided to the institution by the president of the Constitutional Court, is also displayed at the exhibition. The exhibition contains also a string of works signed by formers judges of the Constitutional Court, university professors, experts in constitutional law: Alexandru Arseni, Victor Popa, Victor Puscas, Pavel Barbalat, Boris Negru, Nicolae Osmochescu, Gheorghe Costachi, Liliana Creangă, Ion Guceac, Valeriu Kuciuk, Andrei Smochină, etc.
The exhibition also has a string of archive documents, among which the informative note on the work of the Commission for the elaboration of the Constitution, the shorthand reports of the plenary meetings, during which the draft Constitution was considered and adopted, the results of the Constitution’s voting and the nominal list of the MPs.
The exhibition has the title, „Constitution of the Republic of Moldova – 30 Years since Adoption. It will be opened for parliament’s visitors till 2 August.
The Republic of Moldova’s Constitution Day is annually marked on 29 July. The Fundamental Law was adopted on 29 July 1994 and entered into force on 27 August 1994.
