About 1,300 pupils from 72 Moldova's settlements participates in European Excursion governmental programme so far

Chisinau, 24 July /MOLDPRES/ - About 1,300 pupils from 72 Moldovan settlements have so far participated in the European Excursion governmental programme and visited more objects from Chisinau, including the parliament, presidency and several museums. Figures to this effect were unveiled by the spokesman for the government, Daniel Voda.   

„We are on the 18th day of the carrying out the European Excursion governmental programme, i.e. we are at the half of this programme. Till present, 1,296 pupils from 72 settlements have benefited from the programme. Just today, the pupils from the villages Chioselia of the Cantemir district, Trinca from Edinet, Milesti of Nisporeni and Gauzeni from Soldanesti are on visit to Chisinau, following the route of the excursion, which includes such institutions as National History Museum of Moldova, Ethnography and Natural History Museum, the Parliament, Presidency and a movie theatre. This is an activity which we carry out for the young generations, so that that they familiarize with the activities carried out,’’ Daniel Voda said.     

The organizers set that goal that, during those 35 days of the carrying out of the European Excursion governmental programme, about 2,500 pupils from 140 settlements have chance to go through a cultural and educative experience in the Moldovan capital on the period of the summer vacation. The cost of this activity is of 2.5 million lei, with the money scheduled from the State Chancellery’s budget.   

The pupils were selected by teachers from the education institutions where they study.

The programme was launched in early July. The excursions will be organized till 18 August for groups made up of about 70 children from all Moldova’s districts. The pupils are carried by mini-buses and are accompanied by teachers from schools where they study.
