The minister said that certain technical difficulties had been signaled on the first day of submitting the acts, ‘’which were overcome.’’

„This is a good result. There are several days left till the finishing of the first round and we encourage all those who want to submit the acts for admission to access the platform www.eadmitere.gov.md. The system is in the full process of improvement; we intervene daily,’’ the minister noted.

According to Dan Perciun, last year, about 14,000 students were admitted to all universities of Moldova. ‘’The admission of this year looks promising, with over 11,000 people with acts submitted and we hope that, till 31 July in the first round, we will see an increase in continuation and we will have a good admission,’’ Dan Perciun also said.

The higher education institutions of Moldova launched the admission process on 22 July. The files can be submitted, for the first time ever, online, to the website www.eadmitere.gov.md. The candidates can study at one of those 16 higher education institutions of Moldova, which provide over 200 specialties and syllabi.

The authorities estimate that about 15,000 students would be admitted to the degree studies. They will be able to compete for 8,697 places with budgetary financing. About 25 per cent of the places will belong to the education sciences sector and social assistance.
