New local elections to be held in south Moldova commune

Chisinau, 26 July /MOLDPRES/ - New local elections for the office of mayor will be held in the Antonesti commune, southern Cantemir district, on 17 November 2024. The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) approved a decision to this effect today.

According to CEC, the decision comes following the notification of the National Integrity Authority about an inspection report, which remained final, under which the settlement’s mayor was deprived from the right to hold a public office, including the position of mayor, for a period of three years.

On 17 November this year, new local polls for the office of mayor will be held in the Causeni city, Iliciovca commune, Floresti district, Boscana commune, Criuleni district and Arionesti village, Donduseni district.
