State Road Administration: No roads currently blocked, but flood warning remains in effect

Chisinau, Sep 16 /MOLDPRES/- State Road Administration (ASD) announces that as a result of the heavy rainfall in recent days, several sectors of national roads in the North, Center and South regions have been affected by flooding, water and mud accumulation. There are currently no roads blocked, but the ASD is warning of the risk of flooding, given the weather forecast of heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds with gusts of up to 15-20 m/s, which will continue today.

The intervention teams acted promptly to clear the road of mud and gravel, remove fallen branches and trees, as well as divert accumulated water on the affected road sectors, in order to ensure the accessibility and safety of road traffic.

They advise drivers to drive with caution and avoid areas at risk of flooding. "Road workers remain mobilized and continue to intervene where necessary. For emergency situations, citizens can contact the ASD Operational Service at (+373 78337744), available on Viber and WhatsApp," ASD said.
