Chisinau, 1 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Ankara-based Moldova’s Embassy in Lebanon has received and continues to receive more applications on behalf of Moldovan citizens who live in this country, asking for assistance for evacuation. The applications are submitted in the context of the tense situation in Lebanon.
Presently, the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) of Moldova, jointly with the Embassy, ‘’makes efforts for the urgent evacuation of Moldova’s citizens who request the authorities’ assistance.’’
For emergency situations, Moldova’s citizens can call the emergency phone number of the Embassy: + 90 541 687 2104 or can write to the email address: consulat.ankara@mfa.gov.md.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry one week ago urged Moldova’s citizens who are in Lebanon and the State of Israel to prove vigilance in the context of the destabilization of the security situation in the Middle East and to avoid travels to these regions.
Also, MAE recommended that the citizens follow the instructions of the military and civilian authorities; limit the travels; not leave the home without urgent need; in case of shootings, go to special shelters.
