Moldovan PM participates in Investor Connect 2024 Forum on Innovative solutions for scaling up energy efficiency in buildings

Chisinau, 3 October /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean today participated in the Investor Connect 2024 Forum on Innovative solutions for scaling up energy efficiency in buildings. The event is organized in Moldova for the first time ever and brought together more than 200 experts and investors which discussed policies, technologies and practices of speeding up the energy efficiency in buildings, the government’s communication department has reported.   

In his speech, the PM said that the energy sector was going through a fundamental transformation and the energy efficiency gained a strategic importance, with major impact on the Moldova’s future. According to the prime minister, the government continues to invest in this sector and to create new opportunities for the companies from the private sector, including through the harmonization of the national legislation to the European Union’s one.    

„The energy sector is a fit one for investments not only for those from Moldova, but also for the foreign entrepreneurs. Moldova is synchronized to the energy system of the European Union and we, in continuation, invest in the energy efficiency, production of renewable energy, as well as in capacities of storing and balancing. Together, we can ensure a modern and resilient energy system,’’ PM Dorin Recean said.      

During two days, the participants will refer to the legislative framework, which regulates the energy efficiency in buildings, financial mechanisms of stimulating investments in this field, designing and modernization of buildings. Also, the participants in the forum will present the guide of implementation of the measures  increasing the value added and the energy efficiency and the renewable energy for the public sector and the residential buildings.
