Rădulenii Vechi residents benefit from drinking water thanks to European Village Program

Chisinau, Oct. 11 /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Dorin Recean paid a visit on Thursday to Rădulenii Vechi locality, Floresti district. Thanks to the European Village program, the village has been connected to Balti-Soroca water pipeline and drinking water supply networks have been built in the locality, the government's communication department has reported.

Access to the drinking water supply network was provided to about 350 households, nine public institutions and 11 economic agents. The total value of the project is over 8.2 million lei.

The official also went to Petru Lucinschi gymnasium in the locality, one of the public institutions benefiting from access to drinking water. There, the Prime Minister discussed with teachers working in the institution, underlining the investments made by the government to improve the conditions in Moldovan schools: a 15% increase in teachers' salaries, doubling scholarships for pedagogical students and an increase in childbirth allowances. "It is essential that we all get involved and actively support our development efforts. The modernization of the country depends not only on resources, but also on our common will to move forward," he said.

Thanks to the second edition of the European Village program, educational services and school infrastructure conditions will be improved in the school by completing the renovation of the canteen. The total value of the project is 850 thousand lei.

Thanks to the European Village program, 24 projects worth 90 million lei have been implemented in Floresti district.
