Moldovan finance minister has working meeting with Romanian Investors' Association

Chisinau, 4 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Romanian Investors’ Association will share its experience and will cooperate with Moldova’s Finance Ministry in the process of transposition of the European Union’s legislation in the fiscal sector. Finance Minister Victoria Belous today had a working meeting with members of the Romanian Investors’ Association (AIR).   

The participants in the discussions tackled subjects of interest in the fiscal and customs sectors, among which: the transfer prices, the value added tax (VAT) imposed for diverse sectors, including the courier services, touring cars and cinematographic services, the Law No 166, the income tax, as well as the fiscal reporting of the companies in the IT sector. ‘’Another subject of interest was the transposition of the European Union’s legislation in the fiscal sector, with the emphasis put on the subsequent implementation of these regulations in Moldova,’’ reads a communique by the Finance Ministry.    

Minister Victoria Belous encouraged the AIR representatives to actively get involved in the settlement of the problems in the fiscal and customs sector. The minister also invited them to come up with concrete proposals, which will be discussed at topic-related meetings held depending on the subject. The official reiterated the full openness of the ministry for dialogue and cooperation, in order to identify optimum solutions to the problems faced by the tax payers.     

The AIR members present at the meeting expressed willingness to contribute to the creation of a framework of cooperation based on the exchange of good practices and experience, inspired from the practice of the specialists from Romania.
