PM ordered dismissal of Moldovagaz chief

Chisinau, Dec. 6 /MOLDPRES/- MoldovaGaz company's current head Vadim Ceban will be dismissed and replaced by Dorin Junghietu, who won the contest organized by the Energy Ministry in July. Prime Minister Dorin Recean has ordered a meeting of Moldovagaz's Board of Observers to finalize the procedure for appointing company's new chairman.
Recean said that the Ministry of Energy, together with Sergiu Tofilat, made 4 proposals to Moldovagaz's Board of Directors.
The prime minister said that the decision to keep Vadim Ceban at Moldovagaz will be reconsidered by the new Board of Observers.
On December 4, the Ministry of Energy announced the finalization of the contest on the selection of candidates for four of the nine vacant positions on the Moldovagaz Board of Directors, who will be nominated on behalf of the institution. "After a rigorous process of evaluation and selection, the commission has nominated Dorin Junghietu, who picked up the highest score, as the winner," the Energy Ministry's statement reads.
The Board of Directors of Moldovagaz is a collegial executive body, consisting of 9 members appointed at the proposal of the main shareholders for a term of 3 years. At the same time, the provisional Board of Directors presented on July 1, appointed for a period of 3 months, will ensure the interim until the appointment of new members with full mandate.
