Chisinau, 6 December /MOLDPRES/ - The procedure of control over the export, import and of strategic goods will be digitalized. The Department of State of the United States will donate a Stratlink electronic system of providing authorizations for strategic controls to the Public Services Agency (ASP).
Today, the members of the parliamentary commission for foreign policy and European integration approved the conclusion of an Agreement which provides for this.
According to the competent authorities, the implementation of the Stratlink system will prevent the illicit transfers of sensitive assets and technologies and will regulate the exports, re-exports, transit, reloading, as well as the management of the licences for the assets which transit Moldova.
The value of the Stratlink system is of almost 30,000 dollars and the government will assume the costs of internal transport and the ones related to the displacement and setting of the property to final use places. At the same time, all expenses related to the Stratlink finished product will be covered by the EXBS programme of the U.S. Embassy in Chisinau.
Presently, a single system works in Moldova and the body empowered for the release, prolongation, suspension or cancellation of the authorizations is the Public Services Agency.
