Chisinau, 6 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Health Ministry, the National Public Health Agency (ANSP) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) have launched an online campaign on the promotion of vaccination.
On the next period, a string of informative materials with pieces of advice of medical employees on the child’s preparation, during and after the vaccination, the contraindications to vaccination, as well as the normal adverse reactions which can appear following the vaccination will be spread online.
„In the context, we encourage people to share these message to the family, relatives and community, thus contributing to the enhancement of the degree of vaccination and to our collective protection against the serious diseases,’’ reads a press release issued by the ministry.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, family physician Eugenia Opera said the vaccines were safe and represented the most efficient way of helping children grow up healthy and avoid complications. She urged the mothers to observe the national calendar of immunization.
Till 2027, the authorities are set to reach a national rate of vaccination of up to 95 per cent – a goal envisaged in the National Vaccination Programme for 2023-2027. The vaccination saves millions of lives globally. At least 350 deaths and 42,000 cases of diseases preventable by vaccination are annually avoided in Moldova due to the immunization.
