Center for Molecular Medicine, Center for Personalized Medicine to be inaugurated at USMF "Nicolae Testemitanu"

Chisinau, Dec. 8 /MOLDPRES/- The State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF) Nicolae Testemitanu will inaugurate the Center for Molecular Medicine and the Center for Personalized Medicine - scientific subdivisions created following the implementation of the subproject FORCE_Med - Strengthening education through research in medicine at Nicolae Testemițanu USMF.
The event will be held on 10 December at 11:00.
As a result of the implementation of the subproject, all laboratories have been equipped with high-performance furniture and equipment for the most complex investigations, three study rooms have been equipped with interactive whiteboards and computers. Video equipment was installed for the implementation of the tele-education concept at the centre.
Also, licenses for statistical and bioinformatics analysis were purchased, which allow training students, master's and doctoral students in Biostatistics and Bioinformatics, with the use of licensed software, as well as their application in the analysis of research data obtained in the scientific studies for master's and doctoral theses.
At the same time, curricula were set up and implemented in several integrated bachelor and master study programs, two submodules were developed in the University Management Information System, and trainings for students, master, PhD students and researchers were carried out.
The subproject aimed to improve the curricula and university infrastructure in order to widely apply the concept of education through research at USMF "Nicolae Testemitanu", in order to increase the quality of training of specialists for the national health system and other countries, in accordance with international educational standards and current labor market requirements.
The subproject FORCE_Med is part of the Higher Education in Moldova project, implemented by the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova in 2020-2025, with the World Bank's financial support. The grant is worth 2 million 150 thousand euros for 23 October 2022 - 31 December 2024.
