Moldovan-Lithuanian cross-border security cooperation to be stepped up

Chisinau, Dec. 9 /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan-Lithuanian cooperation in the cross-border security will be strengthened. A cooperation protocol between the two border authorities has been recently signed in Chisinau.

The document was signed by Moldovan Border Police head Ruslan Galusca and Lithuanian General Rustamas Liubajevas, who is visiting Chisinau.

The protocol sets the framework for further cooperation, including in the information exchange and implementation of common strategies.

The visit of the Lithuanian officials took place in the context of the intensification of bilateral relations and focused on the exchange of best practices and the identification of common solutions for effective border management.

At the end, the Border Police management expressed gratitude to the Lithuanian partners for their constant support, efficient cooperation and assistance over the years.
