Moldova and North Carolina mark 25 years of partnership

Chisinau, Dec. 10. / /MOLDPRES/- Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi, together with Speaker Igor Grosu met with North Carolina Secretary of State Elaine F. Marshall in the United States. The officials noted that the partnership between our country and North Carolina marks 25 years.

The official said that the Memorandum of Cooperation between Moldova and North Carolina would be renewed in Chisinau in spring.

Popsoi underlined that thanks to this partnership, our country has benefited from numerous opportunities, including improved education through school exchanges, book donations, educational programs in dentistry, pharmacology and training for civil servants.

The two officials also set priorities for 2025 and agreed to expand cooperation in areas such as agriculture and environmental protection.

Popșoi and Grosu were on a working visit to Washington on December 2-9, 2024.
