Two student hostels of Moldova to be capitally repaired with World Bank's support

Chisinau, 10 December /MOLDPRES/ - Two student hostels, one of the Moldovan State University (USM) and another from the Ion Creanga State Pedagogical University from Chisinau, will be capitally repaired. Investments worth 3.6 million euros will be made by the World Bank (World Bank Group Moldova) within the Higher Education in Moldova Project, implemented by the Education and Research Ministry (MEC).
MEC today launched the procedure of procurement of works of renovation of these hosts, which provides for the re-planning of all rooms, reconstruction of the roof and construction of a new ventilation system.
Also, all indoors heating, electricity and signalization systems will be replaced and the municipal water and sewerage networks will be modernized, according to Education Minister Dan Perciun.
The repair works will starts in early next March and will last between six and nine months.
