PHOTO Ceadir-Lunga high school renovated thanks to development partners, including Romania

Chisinau, Dec. 13 /MOLDPRES/- Students of Mihail Ciachir high school in Ceadir-Lunga, who study in Romanian, benefit from renovated classrooms equipped with modern furniture and equipment, as well as art books and teaching materials necessary for the educational process. In addition, with the support of foreign partners, the school has managed to install modern lighting fixtures to increase the energy efficiency of the institution.
"Romanian language brings people together. We need to learn it and speak it well, and we, as authorities, will make greater efforts to support you in this process. We will continue the exchanges of experience taking place in Romania, providing teaching materials and training in Chisinau to ensure a good level of Romanian language learning for everyone", said Dan Perciun, Minister of Education and Research, during a visit to the school.
The renovation of the classrooms for pupils studying in Romanian was carried out with the support of the international organization People in Need Moldova, with a total investment of 444,000 lei. The organization has also contributed to increasing the energy efficiency of the school by installing modern lighting fixtures, thermal insulating windows and a heating system worth 2.7 million lei.
Classrooms have been endowed with new furniture and equipment, thanks to the support of the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR Moldova), with an investment of 115,000 lei. The Romanian government contributed 100,000 lei to the renovation of a classroom for the extended program and donated a set of art books.
