Chisinau, 13 December /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova has made and will make all approaches for the settlement of the energy problem for the benefit of the citizens from both banks of Dniester. Moldova, in its internationally recognized borders, is responsible for the destinies of all its citizens, no matter the ethnic origin, language spoken, political preferences or place of residence. The Reintegration Policies Bureau has made statements to this effect as response to an announced by the alleged foreign affairs minister of the breakaway Moldovan Dnestrian republic, Vitaly Ignatyev.
„Moldova’s constitutional authorities hold discussions with diverse foreign partners for the prevention and management of a critical situation. The Reintegration Policies Bureau certainly relies on a good communication with Tiraspol, especially in case we will have to face an energy and humanitarian crisis in the country’s eastern district, so that we settle in due time all technical problems which can emerge. We emphasize that, in such situations, it is important that we avoid any propagandistic sideslips and political speculations of the situation.’’ the Reintegration Policies Bureau said.
Ignatyev has earlier come up with a proposal that Moldova and the Transnistrian region make a joint call to Russia and Ukraine for the supply with gas.
