Chisinau, Dec. 16 /MOLDPRES/- EcoContact association comes up with several recommendations in the context of the state of emergency in the energy sector in Moldova.
"Turn off the lights when you leave the room - you save electricity and reduce the bill. Switch to LED bulbs - they consume less and last longer. Set your thermostat to a lower temperature - a thick sweater can keep you warm. Take shorter showers - resources are limited, use them wisely. Reduce decorative lighting - turn off Christmas lights when not needed," explains EcoContact.
These habits are not just for crisis situations, but a more responsible lifestyle that is good for everyone and the planet. "Small savings today help us all tomorrow," the association says.
A 60-day state of emergency is declared throughout Moldova as of 16 December. The declaration of a state of emergency was proposed by the Government under the Report of the Commission for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Moldova, and given that the shortage of energy resources directly and immediately affects the security of the state and its citizens.
