PHOTO Mihail Ciachir College from Comrat benefits from better conditions for education due to World Bank's investments

Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ - The pupils of the Mihail Ciachir College from Comrat, Autonomous Territorial Unit (UTA) of Gagauzia, enjoy better conditions for education due to the investments from which the institution benefited – a grant worth almost 387,000 euros for the modernization of the infrastructure and syllabi. The resources were allocated within the Higher Education in Moldova Project, implemented by the Education and Research Ministry (MEC) and financed by the World Bank.        

With this money, the institution renovated and endowed with equipment two classrooms of informatics, three labs for training specialists in primary education, early education and medical education. Also, interactive tables and new furniture were purchased for the new classrooms (25 in all). Three practical guides and three methodological guides were elaborated for the carrying out of the education process. At the same time, the teachers benefited from seven qualification courses and over 100 pupils participated in the summer school for career guidance.    

In all, seven higher education institutions and six pedagogical schools from Moldova benefit from modernizations of the infrastructure of the institutions and syllabi according to the requirements of the labour market, with the support of the Higher Education in Moldova Project, during 2020-2025. The project’s overall value is of over 35 million euros.
