Land in 10 districts to be expropriated for renovation works on national roads declared of public utility

Chisinau, Dec. 19 /MOLDPRES/- Government approved yesterday measures that will ensure the expropriation process for the execution of construction, rehabilitation and extension works of national roads declared of public utility, located in the perimeter of localities in Cimișlia, Soroca, Dondușeni, Hâncești, Cantemir, Cahul, Briceni, Edineț, Râșcani and Drochia districts.

Thus, the finalization of the expropriation process will contribute to the execution of works on the following roads: M3 Chisinau - Comrat - Giurgiulești - border with Romania (bypass sectors of Vulcanesti and Cimislia); R14 R6 - Codrul Nou - Soroca - Unguri - border with Ukraine (Soroca - Arionești sector); R33 Hâncesti - Lăpușna - M1; R34 Hâncesti - Leova - Cahul - Giurgiulești (Cantemir - Cahul sector);
M5 border with Ukraine - Criva - Balti - Chisinau - Tiraspol - border with Ukraine (sector Criva - Balti); R7 R14 - Drochia - Costești - border with Romania; R14.3 access road to bridge Cosăuți - Yampil, with border crossing point and related infrastructure.

The State Road Administration will carry out the cadastral and evaluation works of the properties affected by the expropriation, will prohibit the alienation or encumbrance of real estate, and will submit the expropriation proposals to the landowners.

Also, the nominal composition and mechanism of work of the commissions for settling appeals of landowners is established.

"These measures will facilitate the development of road infrastructure, helping to increase traffic safety and efficiency, reduce travel time and stimulate Moldova's economic development. The positive impact on citizens will be significant, ensuring faster and safer access to services and economic opportunities," according to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development.
