Moldovan government to have individual approach in process of identifying, assessing families enjoying social benefit

Chisinau, 23 December /MOLDPRES/ - The families enjoying social benefit will be identified and assessed based on an individual decision, starting from the 2025 year. The cabinet today approved a decision to this effect, the government’s communication department has reported.
Under the draft, the beneficiaries will enjoy an individualized assistance plan. Also, the draft provides for the appointment of the community social assistant as case manager, who will be in charge of the implementation of the actions from the individualized plan of assistance.
Thus, through the case management, the assistance for the disadvantaged families will be focused on its individual needs, in order to implement the principle of focusing on person.
The draft’s goal is to assess the reasons which lead to the need to ask for social assistance, as well as to elaborate a plan due to establish the measures of employment, in case of the families with beneficiaries able to work. At the same time, the amendments proposed have the purpose of including the families benefiting from social assistance.
According to data by the National Social Insurances House, over 21,000 families enjoying social benefit were registered in the beginning of the 2024 year.
