Thank you, friends of Moldova! - president says

Chisinau, 18 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Head of State Maia Sandu thanked the participants of the Ministerial Conference of Moldova Partnership Platform, held yesterday in Chisinau, and announced that following the event the development partners assumed financial commitments for several projects, including the modernization of some schools, construction of a waste management station, creation of 10 thousand jobs in forestry.

Thus, the participants in the event assumed financial commitments for the following objectives: the modernization of five model schools; rehabilitation of 128 km of railway Vălcinet - Ungheni - Chisinau - Căinari; the afforestation of over 63,000 ha in the next four years; creation of 10 thousand jobs in forestry; construction of a waste management station in Cahul and waste transfer stations in Cantemir, Taraclia, Comrat, Vulcănesti and Ceadîr-Lunga; energy efficiency of vulnerable households for lower bills; replacing old appliances with new ones; installation of solar panels and wind turbines and other renewable energy projects; stimulating economic growth by supporting Moldovan enterprises; increasing women's participation in the labor market and in decision-making processes.

The 5th edition of the Ministerial Conference of Moldova Partnership Platform was held in Chisinau yesterday. The event was attended by 65 delegations led by ministers, deputy ministers and state secretaries of the partner countries, representatives of the diplomatic staff and international organizations.

During the meeting, nine financing agreements were signed that will support infrastructure investments and the transition to a green and sustainable economy for the benefit of citizens. The agreements amount to 80 million euros in grants and 305.1 million euros in loans under favorable conditions.

The first edition took place in Berlin, Germany, on April 5, 2022. The second edition was held in Bucharest, Romania, on July 15, 2022. The third edition of the Conference of took place in Paris, France on November 21, 2022. The next edition was held in Chisinau on October 17, 2023.
