Chisinau, 14 October /MOLDPRES/ -
Moldova’s citizens on 20 October 2024 will participate in a constitutional referendum, during which they will answer the question: ‘’Do you support the amendment of the Constitution for Moldova’s accession to the European Union?’’
The results of the plebiscite will represent ground, if most residents answer affirmatively to this question, for the amendment of Moldova’s Constitution, so that the European integration’s desideratum should be compulsory for all governances due to come.
On next Sunday, 20 October, the Moldovan citizens have chance to decide the country’s future. The president of the European Parliament’s Delegation for Relations for Moldova, Siegfried Muresan, encourages them to come to vote in an as large as possible number and vote at the referendum on Moldova’s accession to the European Union.
Siegfried Muresan, president of the European Parliament’s Delegation for Relations for Moldova:
„Dear citizens of Moldova, on 20 October, you will decide the future of Moldova at the referendum on the accession to the European Union. I urge you to go to vote in an as large number as possible. In this way, your voice will be heard as clearly as possible. In this way, you decide the future of the country – nobody else!
Dear citizens of Moldova, go to vote no matter where you are!
I make a call to the Diaspora, to Moldova’s citizens who live in Romania, Italy, Spain, Germany, France – all regions of the European Union. You know best of all which are the benefits of living in the European Union. You daily see the European Union and now have the occasion to bring Moldova to the European Union. There are enough polling stations – over 230 ones in the Diaspora, of which 60 polling stations in Italy alone, almost 30 in Germany, 20 in France, 16 polling stations in Romania.
The European future of Moldova is in your hands. Just go to vote! ‘’
