Chisinau, 30 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) has urged the voters from Italy, the United Kingdom, Belgium, France and Spain to verify the addresses of the polling stations where they can vote on 3 November, after some of the polling stations from these states changed their addresses against the first round of the ballot, for objective reasons.
According to the quoted source, to easier find the nearest polling station to the place where they are, the Moldovans are urged to access the webpage www.diaspora.cec.md.
According to MAE, in France, two polling stations, one in Paris and another one in Bordeaux, will have new addresses; in the United Kingdom, five polling stations will be opened in new locations. Different locations will be also for four polling stations from Italy and one from Belgium.
On 3 November, the Diaspora citizens are expected to vote at 231 polling stations.
MAE specifies that the polling stations will open, just in the first round of the ballot, at 7:00 and will close at 21:00. Also, the Moldovans will be able to vote upon presenting the identity card or the passport, including with expired validity term.
The candidate of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Maia Sandu, and the candidate of the Party of Socialists, Alexandr Stoianoglo, will fight for the Moldovan president’s office at the runoff election.
