Moldovan electoral body registers one participant in republican constitutional referendum

Chisinau, 16 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today registered a political formation as participant in the referendum due on 20 October 2024.

The CEC members approved the application submitted by the National Alternative Movement Political Party, with the option ‘’YES.’’

The deadline with submitting the applications on registration as participant in the referendum is 20 September 2024.

At the same time, CEC established that the participants in the referendum and the electoral contenders would have 2,143 confident people, distributed to each electoral constituency.

The republican constitutional referendum will be held on 20 October 2024, on the same day with the presidential elections. The citizens will have to answer the question: ‘’Do you support the amendment of the Constitution for Moldova’s accession to the European Union?’’
