Moldovan PM attends event marking 30-th anniversary of foundation of Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre Agency

Chisinau, 26 July /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean today participated in an event on marking the 30th anniversary of the foundation of the Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre Agency, the government’s communication department has reported.   

The PM congratulated the institution’s employees and thanked them for dedication in the professional work. ‘’The environment, agriculture, industry, infrastructure, commerce, transport – practically all branches of the national economy are based on the work you carry out,’’ Prime Minister Dorin Recean stressed.  

The PM highlighted the orientation to the digitalization and use of new technologies in the activity of map making, geodesy and cadastre. ‘’This allows us facilitating many domestic processes and providing more qualitative services to the economic agents, institutions and this is an important thing also for the international cooperation. The most important thing is that the processes should be simple, both for the citizens and the business environment,’’ Prime Minister Dorin Recean said.   

In the last years, the Agency switched from traditional instruments and ways to state geographic information systems, drones and taking pictures from airships. They allow a more efficient management of the space data and creating a useful database for taking decisions in such sectors as urbanism, environment, infrastructure and risks’ management.   

In the context, Prime Minister Dorin Recean also mentioned the visible acceleration of the process of delimiting of the state owned lands, which is appreciated by the local authorities, during visits to the territory regularly paid by the PM.    

Attending the institution’s anniversary event were 200 employees of the Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre Agency from all over Moldova.
